Circuit de Glace
The circuit Serre Chevalier was the organizer of the first official race on ice called "Round Hivernale". Meanwhile, Claude Laurent created the first school of driving on ice which allows thousands of enthusiasts to learn the mysteries of the "slip".
Season after season, the plateau enriched the glories of the rally and then go see the biggest names in motorsports. The march went forward during the 70s, culminating in the early 80s at the top of motorsport, by hosting the prologue of the legendary Monte Carlo Rally.
Since 1990, the success of the Andros Trophy in Serre-Chevalier powered circuit to rank sites's flagship competition on ice. Praised by the pilots as to the quality of the glass for its sunshine out of the ordinary, it became this way a test of international renown in the middle of motorsports.
But do not cut their fans the first time and to continue to offer spectators and drivers of unusual events, the circuit of Serre Chevalier offers new courses designed to cars 'old'.
Thus the first "Round Hivernale History" was born in 2004, to the delight of lovers of old mechanics.
2010 will be marked by the creation of a new race "Sprint", intended for anyone wishing to run in the same spirit as in the early editions of the Round winter.
In January 2011, the circuit will celebrate its 40 years around a celebration of the slides! ...
THE SITUATION OF CIRCUIT
The Circuit de Serre Chevalier is situated at 1450m altitude, in the heart of the resort. It has become a stage car that wins every year a huge success.
With a length of 800 meters and a width of 10 to 16 meters, the natural ice track with a thickness of 25 to 60 cm, is obtained by tamping and watering daily. This track is specially drawn between two thick walls of snow, with a maximum of security and turns with a variety of rays interspersed with faster sections.
The circuit of Serre Chevalier is also a privileged site of organization of training courses to driving under the Securit cute; road. This site is completed during the summer period, a karting track specially created for the sensations of driving safely.

Rolling program of 1 to several sessions including: theory, tips, applications in tandem with an instructor.
Monitors enthusiasts and owners of BPJEPS Motor Sports, will give you all the advice that everyone can test their skills and enjoy the sensations of pleasure of skiing.
For businesses, the Circuit offers the complete organization of your stay with your training and incentive to challenge many other benefits to the map: accommodation, meals, open bar, ski, ATV, scooter, sled dogs, waterfalls ice, aquatic center, etc ... With a structure over 300 sq. m., and its restaurant "La Table du Circuit, it is ideal for your business seminars. Possibility of internship as part of Vocational Training.

For this winter season 2009-2010, the circuit is pleased to present its program events, and more particularly its new test called WINTER SPRINT to meet growing demand supported by an extraordinary enthusiasm of the followers of the sport.
2 & 3 January 2010
The Circuit de Serre Chevalier offers all lovers of the DAF, an atypical event, friendly and historical endurance and regular ice. This event is open to all, is reserved for vehicles of DAF from 1960 to 1975.
The Circuit de Serre Chevalier offers to all skiing fans and lovers of old mechanics, an historic edition of the Round Hivernale reserved for cars over 20 years. The program, handles regularity and endurance races for everyone discovers the pleasure of skiing has its pace.
16 & January 17, 2010
To meet growing demand, the circuit Serre Chevalier organized a new event open to all and based on the pattern of racing on ice time. This test combines speed handles, handles of endurance and concluding with Mass Start for maximum pleasure of driving on ice.
