Built on a thermal spa whose natural water temperature is 45°C, Les Grands Bain du Monêtier is
situated in the heart of Serre-Chevalier. The spa is a spacious fusion of wood and glass covering an impressive 4,500m2 and overlooking a
stunning artificial lake.
At Les Grands Bain du Monêtier relax with your family or by yourself, whether it be for a few hours, a day, or longer. The spa boasts :
- Three distinct areas with inside and outside features and activities that are available

THE GRANDS BAINS AREA
Both children and adults can enjoy the many water activities and features of the Grands Bains Area.
Dive into the more than 300m2 overflow indoor pool with its bubble beds, underwater massage course,
underwater columns and whirlpool bath.
You can then experience the frigidarium, tepidarium, and caldarium Roman bath features, steam
bath, saltwater pool, musical grotto, mineral grotto, misters, warm marble seating and, of course, the
children’s area.
Outside, the more than 300m2 pool gives you the chance to enjoy its running river, fountain jets,
whirlpool bath, relaxation areas, and its hot and cold wading course, whatever the temperature !
There are indoor relaxation rooms and a terrace-solarium area on the upper floor with a magnificent
panoramic view.
THE ROMANO-IRISH AREA
Our luxurious and exclusive Romano-Irish area offers adults the perfect antidote to the stress of
everyday living. Created by Richard Barter, a 19th century Irish doctor, Romano-Irish baths combined traditional
Roman thermal baths (hot water baths) with hot, dry Irish baths.
The Romano-Irish baths at Les Grands Bains du Monêtier follow the same principles, providing the
perfect opportunity for completely unwinding.
